Submissions

Submissions for Volume 7 will be open during the month of September.

Poetry: Volume 8 is closed for poetry submissions but we will reopen for poetry submissions when we are ready to read for Volume 9. YesYes Books is holding its first open reading period for full-length poetry manuscripts during the month of April. Please read the guidelines below and go here in April!

Fiction: Volume 8 will be open for fiction submissions in the month of April. Please submit a handful of flash pieces (in a single file) or a single short story totaling not more than 15 double-spaced pages of unpublished work. We are also happy to look at a chapter or a section from a longer work such as a novel or novella.

Simultaneous submissions are fine, of course. Just let us know at kmasullivan [at] yesyesbooks [dot] com if a portion of your submission needs to be withdrawn due to acceptance elsewhere.

The submissions manager is currently accepting art submissions of all kinds for YesYes Books and will open to prose submissions for Vinyl 8 during the month of April.

Guidelines for YesYes Books open reading period in April

• Submission period is April 1 - April 30.
• All submissions must be made electronically through our Submittable system. Our Submittable account will not list the reading period until April 1.
• A $25 reading fee covers submission management and entitles you to any two print or digital titles in our current catalog. Please include your two choices and your mailing address in the Submittable cover
• Manuscripts must include 48-100 numbered pages of poetry and a table of contents. An acknowledgements page is not needed but can be included.
• You are welcome to include a brief bio in the cover letter but it is optional. Submittable will keep track of your contact information so it is not necessary to put that on your manuscript but you are welcome to do so.
• Manuscript revisions are not allowed during the open reading period. You are welcome to withdraw and resubmit your manuscript but it will require an additional reading fee
• Simultaneous submissions are fine (of course!), just let us know if your manuscript is picked up
